Komodo Speedboat Price Guide 2026: Open Trip & Private Charter Costs

Updated July 2026

A Komodo day trip on the shared Open Trip costs IDR 1,400,000 per person (~USD 87.50 approx.), covering hotel pickup, a licensed captain and crew, a guide, lunch, drinks and snorkel gear for six stops — Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Taka Makassar, Manta Point and Siaba Besar. Want the whole boat to yourselves? Private charter across our 17-boat fleet runs from IDR 8,560,000 to IDR 47,652,000 per boat, depending on boat size and pax count. What Drives the Price

Four things move a Komodo speedboat quote: boat size, group size, comfort level and how many people split the bill. Bigger hulls with twin, triple or quad engines (Sea Zaydan 03, Pinguin 03/04, Together) cost more per day than an 8-seat boat like Altair Cruise or Ubur Ubur, simply because they burn more fuel and carry more crew. Within each boat, price rises in pax brackets — the 1-4 pax bracket pays the lowest tier, the top bracket (e.g. 15-16 pax on Lembayung 01, or 31-35 pax on Together) pays the highest tier for that same boat, but the per-person cost drops sharply as the group fills more seats. AC and an onboard toilet add comfort and a slightly higher day rate than open-air boats without AC, like the original Altair Cruise, Zaviero, Amankilla or Aurora. Our current price list is flat year-round — we don't publish separate wet-season or dry-season rates — so the numbers above are what you'll be quoted whether you book for July or December; confirm your exact date and pax count on WhatsApp.

Park & Extra Fees

Both the Open Trip and every private charter leave the Komodo National Park entrance fee out of the headline price: IDR 250,000 per person for Indonesian citizens (WNI) and IDR 400,000 per person for foreign nationals (WNA), paid in cash at the park gate — our crew helps you arrange it on the day. On a private charter, the only other optional line item is the sunset extra (an extended late-afternoon/evening cruise), priced per boat from IDR 1,000,000 (Altair Cruise / Altair Cruise 2) up to IDR 4,400,000 (Together); Qin Queen doesn't offer a separate sunset add-on since it's already sold all-inclusive. There are no other hidden charges — fuel, crew, safety gear and, where marked, lunch, snorkel gear and drinks are already folded into the boat price you're quoted.

Common Questions

How much is a Komodo day trip?
From IDR 1,400,000 per person (~USD 87.50 approx.) on the shared Open Trip, which includes hotel pickup, captain & crew, guide, lunch, drinks and snorkel gear for 6 stops. Want your own boat instead? Private charter starts at IDR 8,560,000 per boat (Altair Cruise / Altair Cruise 2, 1-4 pax) and scales up with boat size and group size — see the full 17-boat price table above. Either way, the Komodo National Park fee (IDR 250,000 WNI / IDR 400,000 WNA) is paid separately at the gate.
How much does a speedboat charter cost per day?
Our 17-boat fleet runs from IDR 8,560,000/day (8-seat Altair Cruise or Altair Cruise 2, 1-4 pax) up to IDR 47,652,000/day (35-seat Together, 31-35 pax). Price depends on which boat and how many pax are in your group — check the full charter table above for your exact boat and bracket. A sunset extension, where offered, adds IDR 1,000,000–4,400,000 on top.
Are there hidden fees?
No. The only cost outside the quoted boat/pax price is the Komodo National Park entrance fee (IDR 250,000 WNI / IDR 400,000 WNA per person), paid in cash at the gate, plus a sunset extra if you choose to add one. Everything else — fuel, captain, crew, safety kit and, where marked, lunch, snorkel gear and drinks — is already in the price you're quoted on WhatsApp.
Cash or transfer?
Either works — payment is arranged directly in the WhatsApp chat with our team once your date and pax count are confirmed. There's no online payment or deposit link; you settle cash or bank transfer as agreed with the operator before or on the day.

One perfect day is waiting.
